AAT™ Program for Individuals

Many people world-wide are dealing with a chronic medical condition(s) on a daily basis. Things like:
- Chronic Pain
- Trauma
- Depression & Anxiety
- Post Traumatic Stress
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome
- Adrenal Fatigue
- Fibromyalgia
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Insomnia
- Limiting Beliefs
Often there are no answers provided or results achieved, regardless if the person is being treated by an Eastern, Western or combined medical philosophy. When a patient does not respond, they are eventually pushed aside and relegated to the medical garbage dump and/or simply deemed as "crazy."
This is not because the patient is beyond help...
...Sadly, it's because there is a poor understanding of the causative source of the pain, insomnia, anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress, irritable bowel syndrome, etc...
Cutting edge advances in Neuroscience combined with the art of healing have provided a solution.
The problem is actually in your brain!

That is probably not what you wanted to hear, but believe me, it is not what you think...
This is good news!!
In order to change the problems you are experiencing, you need to be able to communicate with a very special part of your brain. Even though that may sound a little unusual, we can teach you how to do this.
But first, it is important to understand how your brain works:
Your brain is the center for your conscious and unconscious awareness and is the decision maker in your body. When you need to get a plate out of the cupboard, your arm muscles do not make that decision. Your brain does, and the body parts simply respond to the commands from your brain.
Think of it this way: Your body is a machine, a vehicle for maneuvering your body throughout your environment.
Your body is the car...

... Your brain is the driver
Just like your car, your body does not make decisions on its own. The body provides the brain with information, just like the gauges and displays in your car, and the brain makes decisions based upon this information. Next, the brain sends instructions to the body, just like the driver adjusting speed, turning on a blinker, stopping to fill up with gas...
Without instructions from the driver, the car doesn’t do anything.
Your body is no different.

As long as you are alive, your first brain is always on and making decisions for you, regardless of whether you are awake or asleep. That means your brain is initiating and controlling digestion, heart rate, salivation, breathing, etc...
Your first brain is also controlling the level of muscle tension in your body. If your muscles are tense for a prolonged period of time, then they will begin to hurt.

As you already know, you can't think these muscles into relaxing.
If you could you would, right?
That is because the automatic part of your brain is not within your conscious control. When the automatic part of your brain is tensing your muscles (this includes the muscles in your stomach and intestines, arteries, postural stabilizing muscles...) it is because your first brain feels the need to protect itself, regardless of whether or not there is a real or perceived threat.
As long as the brain perceives a threat, the body will respond by increasing heart and breathing rates, clenching the gut and tensing your muscles. This is called the fight or flight response and it is designed to protect you.
As long as the brain perceives a threat, the body will respond by increasing heart and breathing rates, clenching the gut and tensing your muscles. This is called the fight or flight response and it is designed to protect you.
For some people, it turns on and does not turn off. This is like sitting in your parked car
with the engine running and you are flooring the accelerator.

You are burning all this energy without getting anywhere
or accomplishing anything.
No wonder you are so tired all the time... It takes a lot of energy maintain all that tension!

Our emotional brain or second brain plays a big part on how we feel, and yes, men have emotions too. Ask any woman!
Theorists disagree, of course, about which emotions are most important. Here is a list of "negative" emotions that adversely affect our physical body if they are maintained for an extended period of time.
Emotions:

1. Fear

2. Guilt / Shame

3. Sadness

4. Anger
When we feel one or more of these emotions, our second brain tells our first brain to protect the body by sending fight and flight responses to every system within your body. That is why you can tell when someone is "emotional" simply by looking at them or hearing their voice.
It is body language 101, which most of us can easily recognize. Remember that your body is responding to a command and the body language is an automatic result of that command.
We all rely on our intelligence to be able to function in society. Your conscious awareness and ability to think reside in your third brain. However, when you have any of the problems previously mentioned, you may begin to realize that you are not smart enough to get yourself out of your dire situation.
Remember: if you could think your way out of your chronic problem, you would. Right?!
The first brain is making the decisions and is the boss. However humans do have the ability to hold back or "stuff" our emotions. Think about a time when you felt like crying or lashing out, but it was not appropriate in that situation. Your third brain held it in. The more we hold it in without a chance to appropriately let it out, the more likely we will begin to experience problems in our bodies that the medical community cannot answer.
So how do we convince the "boss" to settle down and relax?
All three parts of your brain need to be addressed to break this cycle.
Associative Awareness Techniques™ are specifically designed to do just that... break the cycles of chronic conditions within your life.
AAT™ is comprised of 6 steps designed to communicate with all three parts of your brain
Phase 1:
The first 2 steps help the first brain realize it is not under threat and therefore does not need to activate the fight or flight response. These two steps automatically return balance to your first brain.
Remember, your first brain controls every system in your body...

...so when it is balanced, your entire body is balanced.
Phase 2:
The second 2 steps address the emotional impact on the physical body. Every emotion you experience has a physical response! The negative emotional associations that have developed throughout your life within your second brain continue to influence the first brain to engage fight and flight responses within your body.
Think of these like false alarms...

...sending your body into high alert mode unnecessarily.
Remember, every emotion has a physical response.
Balance your second brain to regain control of your emotions and their impact upon your physical body.Phase 3:
The last 2 steps help you to change the habitual patterns, historical memories and anticipatory expectations that affect us all. Your third brain continues to influence your second brain and your first brain through your own patterns of thinking.

Your past experiences have resulted in associations of memories, feelings and even anticipatory expectations. These associations inevitably result in patterns of limiting beliefs in your life.
These patterns of limiting beliefs continue to influence and create associations within your emotional second brain and instinctive first brain, and must be addressed to finalize the healing process.
By creating a balanced communication between all three parts of your brain, the 3 Phases of Associative Awareness Techniques™ finalize the healing process... and result in life changes for so many people.

Once you have progressed through Phase 1, you will be ready to progress to Phase 2 and eventually to Phase 3.
Finally, there is hope!

to stop holding your body in a pattern of Fight and Flight.
