New Approach to Curing Chronic Injuries
The new approach of one physical therapist in Denver may be the answer to rid that chronic never-ending pain from which you are suffering.
Physical therapist Scott Musgrave is one of only a hundred people in the world with advanced training in Primal Reflex Release Technique.
Primal Reflex Release Technique (PPRT) goes away from conventional physical therapy and works the injured area, the brain and the communication between the body and brain.
"We've decoded communication, a language, if you will, of how the body reacts to stimuli or injury," said Musgrave. PRRT is an approach of healing the body from the inside out.
"What we find is by decoding this reflexive communication within the body, we can utilize the treatment that is very different than most people expect when they come to a physical therapist," said Musgrave. "By understanding a little bit more about how the body communicates to the brain and how the brain then interacts back to the body, we can reset the system, almost reboot the hard drive."
During a PRRT session very little attention is given to the area of the body where you are experiencing pain.
"By decoding this information transfer, we are able to influence the brain in a whole new way to treat from a whole animal perspective by achieving a balance from the neurological system," said Musgrave.
Pain can be reduced by up to 50 percent after only one session. Many patients will find a significant reduction in pain after only three or four sessions.
Those suffering from chronic pain situations, fibromyalgia, myofascial pain syndrome, post surgical pain or unresolved pains may benefit from PRRT.
"When we can achieve a balance to the neurological system the physiological system often falls right into place," said Musgrave. "Even old long-term injuries can show dramatic change and improvement by addressing the autonomic nervous system.
